Every tour is private to allow for a safe and healthy sightseeing tour. Don’t just see Milwaukee, experience it!

*Sightseeing tours in 2020 are 2 hours and will not include cheese samples or brewery tour.

We begin our day with a short walk to explore the heart of downtown Milwaukee. As you walk your guide will paint a picture of Milwaukee in the 1890’s. View the impressive City Hall and Pabst Theater as we make our way to the Milwaukee Rivewalk. Keep your eyes peeled for a secret entrance to the Safehouse, Milwaukee’s spy-themed bar and restaurant. Before boarding the bus we will stop for a quick photo with the Bronze Fonz and watch boats cruise the Milwaukee River.

As we start our driving portion of the tour you will learn the history of Milwaukee’s beginning from the Native Americans to the French Fur Traders who founded the city we know today. We will pass by several stops on the new FREE STREETCAR, The Hop, as well as beautiful Cathedral Square and St. John the Evangelist Church. Continuing on we will drive down Wisconsin Avenue to see Sculpture Milwaukee, a free outdoor art exhibition that includes over 20 pieces of art from around the world!

Heading North we make our way through Milwaukee’s trendy East Side. Along the way we will pass the Milwaukee Museum Mile including the Jewish Museum, the Charles Allis Art Museum, and the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum. We’ll also point out Brady Street, a unique neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants, and local shops. Our first stop the tour follows.

The Black Cat Alley, founded in 2016, is Milwaukee’s premier street art gallery. We’ll take a stroll and see over 20 murals painted by artists from Milwaukee, France, Spain, Germany, and more! Of course, we also have to take a peek inside the Cat Cafe while we're at it.

Moving on, we enter Milwaukee’s Water Tower District. One of Milwaukee’s most exclusive neighborhoods, we’ll see homes originally built for beer baron’s and industrialists such as Gustav Pabst and Lloyd Smith ( of A.O. Smith water heaters). The neighborhood's namesake is the impressive North Point Water Tower, built in 1873 to help supply the city with Lake Michigan drinking water.  Nearby is another impressive home designed by Wisconsin’s own Frank Llyod Wright. Can you guess what the owners paid for this home? The answer may surprise you...

Our next stop is one of the highlights of the trip, the beautiful North Point Lighthouse. We’ll spend time exploring Lake Park, taking photos, and use our imagination to picture horses using the original carriage roads that still exist today. Amazing views of Lake Michigan await from our vantage point 80 feet above the water.

Driving down the bluffs we begin our journey along the Lake Michigan shoreline. You are sure to be impressed by Milwaukee’s park system and all of the walking, biking, and swimming available along our lake. Street parking is free 7 days a week along our lakefront! We’ll point out Bradford Beach, Moosa’s Custard Stand, and the Mckinley Marina, all while watching for surfers, stand up paddle boards, and kayakers.

On the southern end of our lakefront sits the world class Milwaukee Art Museum. Guests are provided a few minutes of free time to explore the atrium, use the restrooms, and grab a few photos of this unique structure that was featured in American Idol, Transformers 3, and Bride’s Maids!

Moving on we’ll see the Harbor House restaurant, Discovery World, and the Summerfest grounds. Did you know that Milwaukee is known as the “City of Festivals”? We host a different ethnic festival every week in the summer as well as the world’s largest music festival each July.

Bordering the festival grounds is the Historic Third Ward. Once Milwaukee’s warehouse district, this neighborhood has come to life with restaurants, theaters, and the amazing Milwaukee Public Market. Be sure to stop back later for a Bloody Mary and some fresh seafood.

Leaving the Third Ward we head south to Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward, Walker’s Point. One of our personal favorites, Walker’s Point is a great place to enjoy local products made right in town. We’ll stop at the Clock Shadow Creamery* for fresh cheese samples and the opportunity to purchase cheese from America’s Dairyland! We’ve got an antique Schlitz  cooler on board to keep your purchase cold for the remainder of the tour. From here we will point out several other local businesses such as Anodyne Coffee and Mobcraft Beer

Walker’s Point is also home to the world’s only Harley Davidson Museum! A global brand  started right here in Milwaukee, the Harley Davidson Museum has every model of every bike ever made, including serial number one!

Continuing back through the heart of downtown we begin to see the incredible transformation of another Milwaukee icon, Pabst Brewing Company. Although their beer is no longer brewed in this location, new blood has been pumped in to the district and a new neighborhood has emerged. We’ll point out the historic Best Place as well as the new Pabst Pilot House brewery.

Another huge new development in Milwaukee is the Fiserv Forum. Completed in 2018, this world class arena is home to the Milwaukee Bucks, Marquette Golden Eagles, and hosts a wide array of concerts and other performances. We’ll drive by to see the arena as well as the new Deer District home to Good City Brewing, the Mecca Sports Bar, Drink Wisconsinbly, and Punch Bowl Social

Driving past another Milwaukee giant, Schlitz Brewing Company, we arrive at our final stop of the day, Lakefront Brewery*. One of Milwaukee oldest and most popular breweries, you will be treated to a cold beer, maple root beer, or soda as well as a private 20 minute tour of the brewery. Commemorate your experience with a souvenir pint glass to take home with you as well as a coupon good for another free beer at a local bar!

Full of history, photos, laughs, and beer we make our way back to city hall to conclude our tour and set you out to explore Milwaukee on your own. What a day!
